Customer Service Representative

A licensed agency staff member who services existing accounts — endorsements, certificates, billing questions, and renewals — rather than selling new business.

CSRs carry the day-to-day service load. They handle the endorsements, certificates, and claims intake that keep accounts intact, and in most agencies they touch clients far more often than producers do.

Because retention depends heavily on service quality, CSR capacity is a direct constraint on book growth. Time lost to manual reconciliation is time not spent on the servicing that keeps renewals in place.
